What xfx 450 watt psu? Either way I don't recommend a 580 since you'll be putting some serious load on that psu and it might be too much for it to handle depending on what 450watt xfx it is.
I was recently using a 450w 80 bronze corsair i had a r9 380 running on it no probs, also tried a a rx 580 and a r9 390 which was seriously power hungry for afew days not sure what the longterm might be like
I have both the 390x and 580 and the 580 is a lot more efficient than the 390x, although the 390x is faster in most games.
Thats not too far but, but it should be noticeably faster (The 580) Which games? which drivers? It really shouldn't be slower than a 390
All DirectX games on a 390x are faster than a 580 but this can vary by upto 15fps
All that use Direct12, then the 580 is faster upto 10%
I have noticed DX12 games are getting more efficient
