So basically i like to game and stream when i do. I currently have an i5-6600k and its definately not keeping up anymore. So which processor is better for gaming AND streaming? Thanks for your thoughts <3

Either will do just fine, especially if you intend to sync your framerate to the stream output but a few other points:
The 7700K is now getting old hat, and remains expensive, the later 6 core i5 8600K is probably a better bet.
If you game at other times without streaming on a fast HD display Intel still has a FPS advantage over AMD.
With any Intel 'K' CPU you will need to include a CPU cooler, the 2700X comes with an excellent boxed cooler.
Overall an AMD build will probably be a little cheaper.

In my opinion, the 7700k can't really stand against the 2700x in overall use-case scenarios. Not because just it has now a better IPC and newer 12nm fab process but it has twice as much threads as the 7700k.

Now from what you're standing, you will just get HT to virtually have 8 threads and slightly better clock. And I think it can sustain 4.3 - 4.5ghz pretty but that's something you can get with the 2700x as well (I can get mine at 4.3ghz).

If you really want to go for Team Blue, at least go for the 8700x or wait a while and buy the 9700k.

honestly they are almost similar the I7 7700 K vs the ryzen 2700x when it comes to the Workstation both of them are similar in gaming ryzen is slightly faster that's why everybody will pick it but for gaming I'll choose the 7700 K any day without fail can be overclocked to 5 ghz stable overclock..., I do gaming video editing streaming and the i7700k has given me all performance all round

gaming *and* streaming,----2700X

Based on BF1 and BF5 performance, 7700K still does *quite* fine in 'gaming only' scenarios...(but, I'd not intentionally build a gaming system today around it short of an 80% 'fire sale'...; the 8400 is just about as fast and costs less w/ today's inflated 7700K pricing, currently $399 on Amazon
