I have a 1.5 TB hard drive of seagate , I was copying some files and it froze , i tried 2-3 times but still the issue was there , so then I ran a hard disk error tool of the windows 7 . Left it overnight and found that it froze too . Now my hard drive is no getting detected , i cant see in the disk management too . Some times when I see it in disk manage ment it shows 0 bytes and hard disk not initialised status , Please help .

@anveshkose, what is the model number?

Issuing the following commands (at level T) via the diagnostic terminal should disable those firmware settings which are causing the drive to stumble:

F"READ_SPARING_ENABLED",0,22
F"WRITE_SPARING_ENABLED",0,22
F"OFFLINE_SPARING_ENABLED",0,22
F"DAR_ENABLED",0,22
F"DISABLE_IDLE_ACTIVITY",1,22
F"BGMS_DISABLE_DATA_REFRESH",1,22
F"ABORT_PREFETCH",1,22
F"READ_LOOKAHEAD_DISABLED_ON_POWER_UP",1,22
F"READ_CACHING_DISABLED_ON_POWER_UP",1,22

You will need a TTL-USB adapter (approx US$5).
