Hello,

I upgraded my PC with a new graphic card (old one is broken: Palit GTX275).
The new one is a Sapphire RX550 --> http://pulse.sapphiretech.com/en/550-2.html
My board is a Asus P5Q-Pro --> https://www.asus.com/de/Motherboards/P5Q_PRO/
Now the PC isn't starting: no post beeps, no USB, No graphics, no bios.
What can be the issue? Is it because of the legacy BIOS with the new GPU? On the Sapphire Website UEFI Bios is mentioned (noticed after I bought it).

Thanks for your help in advance.

BR JoeDee

My PSU is a Antec NeoPower 650 (650W) it should be enough to power up. CPU is a four core Intel.

How old is your PSU? What is the make and model of the unit? On second thoughts,
CPU:
Motherboard:
Ram:
SSD/HDD:
GPU:
PSU:
Chassis:
OS:

If you get a black screen in spite of booting into OS's GUI, then the lack of an UEFI BIOS environment would be the reason.

Solved it. Put the old graphics card in, made a BIOS reset and replaced with the new GPU again. Now its working. Why the first BIOS reset not worked ...?
Problem solved: RX550 works with legacy BIOS!!
