I have an odd problem. I had an ASUS motherboard that went bad. I bought a Ryzen 1600X and a B350 MB. I connected everything back up and I realize that W10 would need to be reinstalled.
I created a USB drive to install Windows. So Windows installed onto my old C drive, which I don't think was totally cleaned from previous install.
If I turn computer on, it does nothing and I force to power down by holding the power button. Once I do that and turn it back on it Posts into Safe Mode, which allows me to get into the BIOS. Once in the BIOS, I simply hit escape, and Windows 10 boots right up and I have zero problems. It's just a hassle.
I don't know if this has to do with a previous install of Windows. I don't know if it's because the C drive is installed into the SATA 2 slot instead of SATA 1. I put my boot priority as the SSD. I'm at a loss. Everything seems to run fine once I'm in Windows. Any ideas? Is it a secure boot problem? Should I completely reinstall Windows 10 with a fully wiped drive?
I just updated the BIOS to the latest version, which was released on 9/21/18.
