Hello everyone

I am looking for some help, I just recently change my PSU and I am experiencing massive drop in frame rate since. I switch from a lepa n500 sa eu to a evga gq 650 (https://uk.hardware.info/comparisontable/4168613/geen_username/power-supplies-comparison-table-1).
the rest of my config is:
Motherboard: asus pbz77-v lx2
CPU: i5-3570k
GPU: geforce gtx 1060 6gb
RAM: 16 gb

Does anyone have an idea where this drop of frame rate could be coming from ? I did update the gpu drivers very recently (today)

I noticed it afterwards and quickly turn off the computer. The CPU temp reach 90 degrees C for 30 % usage and the GPU was at 30-40 degrees C for 90% usage.
I believe I made quite a mistake while changing the PSU, I took the opportunity to clean the computer and I remove the HSF of the PCU and I didn't replace the thermal paste when I put it back (I know I am an idiot). Hopefully the CPU was not damaged and I will replace the thermal paste before doing anything else.

Could this explain the whole of the problem ? the GPU taking the load off the CPU to avoid it get damaged by overheating even more ?
