Look under your laptop and you should see a sticker with an SKU for your unit which is followed by the model number of your laptop. If that's missing, you can shoot us the screen shot for the CPU and the motherboard off of CPU-Z. If you're running off of the first gen Core i processor, you will only be able to get DDR3-1066/1333MHz, depending on what processor(and chipset on your motherboard) you have.

Crucial often gives out results which are hit or miss. I'd rather cross reference other sites, apart from Crucial. On another note, higher frequency DDR3 modules will down clock to corresponding frequency unless your laptop's BIOS doesn't have something to say about it.
