Will these gpus eventually be in stock frequently at newegg?

I see people leaving reviews on newegg/amazon for zotac/msi rtx 2080tis but I have not seen them in stock once. I have my email address on the "notify me" list but I have not received anything once. Is everyone just buying the preorders off ebay or something?

Try this website: https://www.nowinstock.net/computers/videocards/nvidia/rtx2080ti/

Even though I watched the site like a hawk, I actually got mine by checking newegg randomly. It was a combo that included a psu, so it wasn't listed on nowinstock.com and maybe nobody was looking for a combo so I guess I got lucky. It's the gigabyte 2080 ti oc gaming, which is a 2.5 slot version. There's also the windforce version, which is 2 slots which means the cooler is slightly smaller. They look very similar, but I would lean towards models that have a bigger cooler on the 2080 ti if you can. Mine runs at 72-73c in 25c ambient while gaming.

You can also try in-store purchases at retailers like bestbuy or microcenter. Someone in the comments at nowinstock said that's how they snagged one. He went to bestbuy.com and when he clicked add to cart, he got a message that it was in-store only. He checked inventory for his local store and showed up and they didn't even know they had it. Must have just arrived, he said.

Hmm, not sure about them fitting because I never SLI'd before, but I guess you need to be careful not to counteract the purpose of the larger cooler by cramping them in with little space between. Blower cards might be better, but maybe someone with SLI experience can chime in. Yeah, the Duke was my first choice but I think the Gigabyte OC Gaming is a close second.

Unfortunately they did away with the blower design this iteration. Maybe they couldn't get it cool enough. I'll just have to buy one and see how much space it leaves.
