Hey everyone, I built my first PC in almost a decade yesterday night. Everything seemed to go well but when I was installing things like speccy, my PC began freezing. It seems to freeze every 10 to 20 minutes or so.

What I've done so far: I installed Windows 10 from a bootable USB that I made many years ago. I tried to install my GPU drivers but it said it wasn't compatible with this version of Windows. Upon further inspection I found that it appears my PC isn't even registering my GPU? I'll link screenshots to my Dxdiag of my system and my display that doesn't show my GTX 1080. I've installed speccy and surfed the net on solutions to my problem. I think thats it! Thanks in advance for any help! Oh and I've also tried putting the GPU in a different slot, still freezing and not picking up the GPU for all that I can tell (even though it's lit up). Thanks!

I tried it through the Nvidia GPU software which I had installed. I'll try the download from your link. I'm currently trying to install a new Windows 10 bootable to this USB but my PC keeps freezing up before it can complete :/

I don't have another GPU or another system unfortunately. I'm going to try and make a bootable windows 10 from a friends PC and reinstall a more up to date version of windows 10 and see if that works will update this post. I can't make the bootable windows 10 myself because my system freezes before the download can complete. Thanks for your help so far!

you have two issues right now. windows 10 that you used is so old it missing chipset drivers. the version you had was an old windows insider build. if you were an insider tester you can still download the newest insider iso and use rufus to make a bootable usb stick with the new insider iso. if you were not an insider or dont want to use beta windows iso. use the new windows media creation tool. make the new 1809x iso. click skip when it asks for a key. if you have a vailid key it pull the key back in when windows logs into the internet. if not you can still use windows 10 un actviated. whe nyou get into windows from that same windows iso have a folder on it called drivers. put the amd chipset drivers for the mb on it. the ethernet and sound drivers from the mb web page.
