I was feeling pretty keen on the new 9900k cpu if only for the soldering, and hardware fix for Meltdown and Spectre. Then I was wondering are Spectre and Meltdown really an issue for the average user? I maybe naively assumed that whatever update was needed was in a windows 10 update and just haven't thought about it too much.
Now actually reading about it, its a bit unnerving, what should I do? Do I need to manually download these updates for CPU, MoBo Bios, etc??
