Problem: Web pages often take ages to load. i often see the message "TLS handshake" or "Connecting..." or "Waiting for..." at the bottom of the screen. Sometimes the page doesn't load at all and i get an error page (something like "the site did not respond" or "the page failed to load").
What i've tried: Changing DNS settings to Google's. Flushing the DNS cache. Disabling the Avast antivirus. Trying different browsers (firefox, chrome, edge). Updating wifi adapter driver. Changing wifi router channels.
Nothing has worked. i don't have the same issues when using my iphone or ipad on the same wifi connection. I have had the problem for many months.

Wireless adapter: Dell Wireless 1830 802.11ac
Router: Sky Hub
OS: Windows 10 Home Version 1803
