Budget Build Suggestions?

I have around £400 - £450 MAX to spend on a tower. I am looking to play League of legends, CS:GO, Old School RuneScape and WoW mainly. I also don't want to worry about parts failing or being unreliable. Thanks in advance.

You do not want a Pentium. Even with hyperthreading, it isn't going to be as good as an actual quad core. A little over budget, but you get an actual quad core, and a better GPU.

I like the list above, but I would try to get a G5400 cpu and H310, B360, or H370 motherboard. Then you would be able to upgrade to a six core i5 8400 or even the 9 series eight core cpus down the road. Maybe go for the 500W psu over the 300W one if you want to upgrade to a better GPU later.

I'll change it up a bit. Thanks for the recommendations! I'm just going to switch it up so it's easier for Friji to purchase the system components.

You have linked the Pentium G4560, the Pentium Gold G5400 is 200 MHz higher and 1 MB cache more than the older platform, still 2 core 4 threads but the ability to upgrade is far superior. The above list to get into the game, and then you can put in a 6 or 8 core cpu and a 1070 level card when you want more.

I had bought a G4560 at launch for a h270 HTPC build and was hoping to upgrade to 6 core, before intel released 1151 V2 socket and required 300 series. Still a nice little chip which made 6th and 7th gen I3 pointless. I have a H310 and G5400 in a DTX form (mini ITX with a 2nd slot) in a gateway sx2803 low profile case with low profile single slot 1030 gt for now.

I cannot find a 3 slot ITX chassis. x1 above x16, slot 2 and 3 for gpu, slot 1 for sound or any other single x1 card. Surely someone has wanted to put a 3 wide GPU into a Mini ITX board before. Probably just going to end up in a MATX chassis

He already has the Penguin G5400. Why would he switch to AMD when they already have a great budget cpu that performs like an i3?

Thanks so much for all the replies, lads. Some great builds there.

Do you think it's possible to drop the budget to £300 and still have a reasonable build? I'm just messing about with a few options here as I have to add peripherals on top of the build (I'll figure that out myself, I'd just like build suggestions).

Cheers in advance.
