I have an asus m5a99fx pro r2.0 and I'm looking to get an fx 6300 but my current psu dosnt have an 8 pin cpu connector. Will 4 pins work fine on this motherboard? Will it boot or will i come across issues (I will not be overclocking)? Plz don't tell me to wait and buy a better cpu or motherboard (unless the cpu is cheaper and the price to performance is better) as I dont have the patience to save up more money.

It will most likely boot up and even work in full load but I wouldn't try overclocking since you would be pushing power limit with just 1 4-pin.
