Increasing Power Limit Reduces Stability

Issue:

So basically, if I increase the Power Limit/Temp Limit with the same overclock as above, the graphics driver will crash during a benchmark. This makes absolutely no sense in my opinion, as having these limits maxed out before didn't cause any issues.

The overclock works normally if I don't touch the limits. The card works fine otherwise. In fact, I just replaced the thermal paste on the card and was able to push the temps down about 5 C.
 
can you confirm the clock actually hits the frequency offset during the stress testing?

it could be hitting the limits and throttle, when you are power/temp limited. but once your limit is removed, the card already hit those target and become unstable.
