I5 4th vs i7 3rd which cpu should i get for gaming ?

I need to know that which cpu should i buy for playing current and upcoming games at 1080p 60fps.
Should i buy i5 4th gen or i7 3rd gen cuz i’m low on budget and sticking with ddr3. I have Sapphire nitro RX 580 8gb !! Also tell me if i7 2nd good or not ?

You could probably get a good price on a used i7 4770k, and that would be the better option of all the above. i7 4790k is still priced high, even used, and it is likely above your budget.

That being said, i7 3rd gen will provide better performance than i5 4th gen in latest thread-hungry games (like BF1 and BF5), especially if you have the mobo with good chipset that allows overclocking and get unlocked i7 3770k and OC it.

i7 2700k is still good, loses to i7 3770k by about 5% and to i7 4770k by 10%.
