I have 2 internet services to my house. one slow and unlimited the other very fast but limited. I have 7 computers in a wired(and wireless) network now, some win7 but mostly Linux. Both routers have wireless. I want to hook both routers up as 168.192.1.1 and 168.192.1.2. I only plan on accessing one of them at a time from a given computer. What steps do I take to accomplish this?

That method works but is rather tedious. A dual wan router might be somewhat simpler but still a pain.

So what you do is leave one router run as normal with dhcp etc. The other router you turn off the dhcp. You connect the 2 routers via lan potrs.

So now all traffic will run via the router with the DHCP enabled and the other will be unused.

To change a machine to use the "unused" router change the gateway ip in the client. You can either change the nic setting or use the ROUTE command and replace the 0.0.0.0 route
