Alright so, i have an MSI M-5 Gaming motherboard, recently my internet got upgraded to 500/500 speeds from 100/100, so as excited as i was, i went to do a speed test to notice i was locked at 100 regardless of what i did, so i did some research, and tried every step i found online with the final option i had being, buying a new cable as mine might be faulty, today i received the new cable(which i upgraded from a cat6 to cat7) and lo and behold, nothing. Still stuck at a 100 MB. I've tried the following-
Re-installing drivers
Changing negotiations(i only see upto 100 full duplex, so i left it on auto)
Using the Killer Control Center(as administrator) to set the speeds to 500/500 or even 1000/1000(makes no difference)
Re-starting PC, trying different Ethernet slot on router, i pretty much ran out of ideas.

I'm sure that im receiving the speed as on my Phone and iPad, i get the speeds mentioned, just not on my PC. Any advice? Thank you for your time.

Are you using your carriers modem or your own? If it is your own does it support these speeds, many do not. Typically your ISP will provide with a modem that supports these speeds. Also, I would suggest contacting your ISP. Your cell phones will not support these speeds so how you got to that conclusion I have no idea. (I am speaking from the US experience) if you are in Europe I have no idea.

I am using the modem and router provided by them and they support these speeds i confirmed with the ISP. I've already contacted them. Also, my phone and iPad get 250-300 down and up, which confirms that my router and modem ARE infact providing speeds above 100, while my PC is stuck at that. Thanks for your answer^

have you tried booting a live CD and testing? You should not need to do anyhting to achive those speeds. I have a lot older hardware and I pull 330 on my 300 connection without any special hardware drivers or software. In fact I never had any issues where I need to change anything to max out my line on any PC in my house which I have about 5. I pull faster speeds on wifi. Each time my ISP upgraded speeds I needed to change the modem which you said your phones are getting faster speeds so I guess that might not be it. I think you might have some OS corruption so maybe if you try reformatting it may fix your issue. If not try a wifi card to see if it's faster maybe get a new NIC and plug it into a pci slot. Could also be hardware issue on your motherboard. Oh and try plugging direct into the modem cycle the power after maybe your router is the issue.

I mean i recently formatted my PC, so im not sure about that one. Unfortunately it isnt a possiblity right now for me, too much of a hassle, also buying external hardware is an issue as im broke currently :p So i cant test that. But ill try the modem thing, thank you for your time.
