I recently got more RAM for my motherboard and installed it, it has caused my PC not to boot, it's the exact same RAM as previously purchased and I've tried all sorts to fix it so far. But first allow me to explain what happens. When the RAM is installed into DIMMA1 and DIMMB 1 I get nothing, no monitor, keyboard, mouse you but my fans are running. Put it into DIMMA2 and DIMMB2 slots and it works. I recently bought more RAM not really worrying about the issue and thought nothing of it and Iget the same issue as stated above. I'm at my wits end as I've tried everything, moving RAM to different slots, checking everything is inserted correctly, making sure there's no damage and finally updating my BIOS and still nothing. Please help.

so to clarify, you are attempting to use two completely different sticks that were not purchased together as part of a kit?
If this is the case, then that's your problem. Since due to the nature of how these modules are manufactured, there is no guarantee that two different sticks will work together when bought separately, even if they are of the same brand/model of RAM. The only way to guarantee that they work together perfectly is when you buy them in a kit, since at this point, the manufacturer has gone through the process of making sure the sticks work together without issues.

No I bought them in a kit.

make sure both ram sticks are one or two sided dont mix ones and twos in a pc. check the voltage of the ram sticks make sure both are at stock speeds the same voltages. if there the same voltages then in the bios with 4 dimms your going to have to up the dram voltage. 4 dimms will load the mmb down and you may have to bump the voltage up a little for the mb to post. if it wont post with the voltaged upped. contact the ram vendor swap out 4 sticks for a two stick kit.

ok, so then your comment about how they are the exact same brand/model as your last kit is null and void then? You just felt like saying it.

Moving on then to your real issue which I am now gathering is that you bought a new kit of ram and installed it to replace your old kit and thusly upgrade your available system ram.

However, this RAM only works when plugged into the A2/B2 slots and not the A1/B1 slots.

It's possible that the sticks are bad. To check this, switch back to your old kit and see if it'll boot using those while in the A1/B1 slots.
If so, further check that the sticks aren't bad by removing the old kit and putting in the new kit and restoring BIOS to defaults.
If that doesn't work, it's bad sticks perhaps.

If your old kit doesn't work now that you've put the new sticks in, then the slots on your board just went bad most likely. Still, doing a CMOS reset to check won't hurt.

I'd like to make note of this since there are many out there who don't know, but when unplugging, or plugging in anything inside of your system, it is best to always flip the switch on your power supply to off then press and hold the power button for about 10 seconds to drain any residual electricity from the system. Not doing this will leave a current running through your motherboard and components, and in the case of removing and putting in sticks of RAM, this can leave the possibility of a short happening when removing/plugging in RAM sticks which can either mess up the stick, mess up the slot which they were being plugged to, or both.
