[SOLVED] Need help choosing cpu and mobo

Hey!
I currently have an i5-6400 which is bottlenecking with my gtx 1070.
I plan on upgrading my cpu in hope of an overall improvement.
Me (being a rather cheap guy) would love to hear your opinions upon which motherboard and/or cpu i should get, for removing the bottleneck.
I dont care if its AMD or Intel.
The cheaper the better

I would buy a used 6700/7700 and drop it into you current motherboard. You will need to update the bios on your mobo to run the 7700, but both of those CPUs will perform very similar and both are very good CPUs to pair with your 1070. There is no need to go for a new platform upgrade right now. CPU gaming performance has not changed much at all since the 6700 was released.
