Okey,so I was thinking of buying a new PC,I saw an interesting offer on one of the sites I was browsing.
GPU 1060 3GB - Will try to change it to RX 580 4GB(8 pin PCIe,have that connector)
CPU i5-8400
RAM 8GB
And the motherboard AsRock LGA1151 H310M-HDV...Which has a 8-pin connector slot
I have an old PSU which I bought Chieftec I-Arena series GPC-500S that only has a 4-pin CPU connector.
Could I use this PSU or do I need to buy a new one? I have no intention to OC anything.

Solution
The aux cpu power connector is intended to add power for pcie slots and for high powered processors and graphics cards.
The i5-8400 is relatively low power; ok there.
But, the change from the GTX1060 to a rx 580 is going to add some 75w to the system and I would expect the need for 8 pin motherboard power would increase.
The usual recommendation for a RX-580 based pc is 550w.

The danger is not that it might not work.
The danger is that a cheap psu like the one you have will fail under load and damage anything it is connected to.

Using a cheap psu can become very expensive.
Buy a good psu, tier 1/2, no more than 3.
