I bought a prebuilt pc back in 2016, and it is time to upgrade. Was looking to get a new motherboard, as the one I have right now only supports amds fx series of processors and ddr3 ram. I was also needing to get a new processor and decided on an i7 7700k, right now I have an fx 8350. I also need a new gpu, and decided to get a gtx 1080 ti. The gpu I have right now is a gtx 1060 3gb. So what I need is a motherboard that supports at least 8 gb of ddr4 ram, and supports both gtx 1080 ti, and i7 7700k. I also need the mother board to fit in my tower. My tower is a thermaltake n21 black. Also, my power supply is 500 watts. Do y'all know of a motherboard that fits my needs?

I was thinking more of an 8700k, but yeah looking at prices there is little difference between 7700k 8700k and a bit of a jump to the 9700k.
At least with 8th gen you can use better motherboards and can upgrade to 9700k later if needed to.
The 7700k is D E A D. No longer made, everything for it, is a year old or more.
I just can't grasp concept of buying older compared to new, if new is same price and can last longer....

Ok, I didn't know it was outdated, so I should update my choice to an i7 8700k? If so, what motherboard would support that and meet my requirements above, and also, when is the 9700k releasing?
