Hello, my question is about mouses? Right now i have a cheap mouse from Wish (mouse: DSFY-II ). Does anyone know about mouses? I have been playing games like Countrer strike, fortnite and so on for a long time but still feel like somedays i can't play at all. I know practising is also important and i do that everyday. So can anybody help me and look about my current mouse and tell me if its bad/good and should i get a new one? (Current mouse DSFY-II, from Wish i got it for 3 Euros i guess, kinda cheap). Also if you can please recommend a decent mouse for me. Thanks!

Since choosing a mice is completely personal choice, i can't say which one to go for. What i can say is my personal opinion with mice i've had during my years.

Since i've been around for quite some time, i don't think i need to start from the beginning where i used mechanical mice with the ball under it which tracked the mice movement. Instead, i'll talk about the 2x latest mice which i've used. Those are: generic optical mouse with PS/2 port and my current one: Corsair Sabre RGB (specs).

Despite PS/2 being older tech than USB, it still has few benefits which USB mice haven't matched. PS/2 mouse sends dedicated signals to the PC which interrupts anything CPU is currently doing and forces CPU to deal with the PS/2 input. In that...

In that sense, PS/2 mouse and KB are far better since you won't get any latency with them.

USB mouse, like any other USB device, shares it's bandwidth with other USB devices. And if you have many USB devices working at the same time, you can get higher latency (longer response time) with your USB mouse. Though, there are different polling rates for gaming USB mice, ranging from 125 Hz to 1000 Hz that minimize the latency (e.g 1000 Hz = 1ms response time) but if the system that deals with USB packets hangs, you'll get higher latency either way.

Another bonus for PS/2 mouse is that it doesn't require any dedicated software to work and works just fine with any PC that has PS/2 port. Most gaming USB mice have their own dedicated software to control them and at times, that software can cause issues.

Though, USB mouse also has it's advantages over PS/2 mouse. Most notable one is the DPI changing on the fly which many gaming mice support.
For example, my Corsair Sabre RGB has 6x different DPI presets that i can change with the dedicated buttons on my mouse. While i'm usually using 3000 DPI, depending on a game, i have changed it to 6000 DPI and 1500 DPI for better gameplay. And all that by pressing a single button on my mouse. 2nd thing about my mouse's DPI is that i have another dedicated button that changes my DPI to 400 and back, making the sniper shots ideal.
In that regard, PS/2 mouse falls behind considerably since you're stuck with the DPI it has. Unless you increase/decrease the cursor speed from Win and/or game settings.

Another bonus for USB mice is that many of them also have (RGB) LEDs for eyecandy while PS/2 mice usually lacks any LEDs. Though, LEDs are aesthetical and doesn't affect the mouse's performance.

I've used both, the PS/2 and USB KB and mouse for gaming for years and when it comes to my personal opinion, USB KB and mouse are better than their PS/2 counterparts. Though, i still keep my PS/2 KB and mouse around as backups, just in case i need them for troubleshooting the PC issues where PC fails to load USB drivers and none of the USB devices work.

Oh, for any (competitive) gaming, wired mice are better used than wireless mice. While wireless mice give you more freedom to move around since mouse isn't wired to the PC, all wireless tech also has issues where signal isn't registered, even for a split second. In FPS games, this can be vital since nothing isn't worse when you're about to make a decisive shot and your wireless connection drops at the same moment you're clicking your mouse button. Or when the mouse battery gets depleted during heavy firefight.

Thanks, however im looking for more suggestions. You really answered this question as detailed as possible hehe. Im usually used to not touch the DPI button on my mouse, i have set it to lowest and thats it. I adjust my mouse speed in game settings usually. Also im aware that wired mouses are better, and my current mouse is wired too. I once had wireless mouse and it wasn't really good as you mentioned, it got stuck sometimes as the battery was empty every single time. But thanks alot for answering! Im looking more for like suggestions.

If you want suggestions then look towards Corsair lineup,

E.g M65 Pro which is specifically designed for FPS games,

or the same Sabre RGB i have. That one is designed for strategy (MOBA) and action games (FPS),

While Razer mice are also popular and fancy looking, i'd avoid those since they are plagued by hardware and software issues. For other brands: Roccart Kone Aimo, Logitech G502, HyperX Pulsefire FPS Pro, Steelseries Rival 310 are also well received.

I think going for a new gaming mouse would be better, cause your mouse seems quiet heavy. Although the weight don't matter much. What matters is that you should look for a mouse where you can customize your dpi settings, look for one which has lift height and go for the one which have a better polling rate it will improve your performance in gaming. First of all look for your grip style and tell me it will help me more to suggest you the one you need.
