Adding an SSD to my pc

So basically I've purchased a 120GB ssd, and I was wondering, do I absolutely have to reinstall windows onto the SSD or can I just have the SSD for storing video games etc. Like CSGO etc. I should mention, I plan on keeping the 2TB hard drive, the only thing I want the SSD for is to load video games quicker etc.

You can have it just as a secondary drive for games.
But that is tossing away a lot of its functionality.

The only thing you gain is shorter load times in whatever games are installed on that SSD.

A pen drive has nothing to do with this.
Cloning from your current drive to the new SSD can be done, but given a 120GB drive, this will be a pain.

1. How much space is actually consumed on your current C drive or partition?
2. Do you have another drive handy...a USB external maybe?

Roughly 0.35TB has been taken up, I'm not too fussed about the files on it. Also I have a 64GB pen drive for backing up. All I want to do is move Windows from the HDD to the SSD and I'm not sure how.

So, 350GB ish actual consumed space?
Obviously, that does not fit in a new 120GB drive.
And a 64GB drive does not make up enough space to do this

And you cannot clone "only windows". That does not exist.

So if you want Windows on the the SSD, that will be a full reinstall.

Well, I'm not bothered about the files on the hard drive, I also have a external hard drive with 120GB of space. Could I do a factory reinstall and then boot from the SSD?
