Black screen and now no display on monitor

Hey all.

First built this PC in October 2016 so some parts are old but have recently upgraded my RAM and GPU.

This worked fine up until a few weeks ago where I had a black screen(no artifacts) the monitor just kinda went dead. Front panel power/reset switches stopped working so turned off using power supply. When I turned back on no display was showing still. Tried the usual troubleshooting and clearing the CMOS worked.

Fast forward a few weeks with everything being fine and same black screen happens. This time clearing CMOS doesn't work. I try 4-5 times to do it and it does eventually post. Although the exact same issue happens later in the day. This time with clearing CMOS not working at all. I figured (this could be wrong) that as the GPU and RAM are fairly new then it could be a problem with one of the two so I swapped out the RAM with my old stuff first with one stick. Which then the PC posts first time, and I add another stick (Totaling 8GB). And the PC works for at least a day, I thought I would test it and swap out the RAM again to make sure the problem was with the new stuff. In which I was correct as hours after I make the change the PC black screens. I say great as I know the problem right (surely?) switch off the PC and get the old ram back in there. Doesn't post. Any ideas of what to try? I definitely haven't mixed up the DIMMs and have held power button down to clear memory state and still no luck.

Thanks!

Knew there was something I forgot! Corsair HX650W. Bought brand new when originally built the system a couple of years ago.

Tried but still no display!

Have you tried another known working video cable?

Can you test the monitor on another system?

Can you test another monitor on your system.

Can you test both of the above via the motherboard's graphics port?

Are you able to boot into Safe Mode and have the monitor display?

I've tried a new cable, monitor through another system and no luck.

The motherboard I have doesn't support on board graphics so I'm afraid I can't try that.

And I have no post so can't even get into settings in Windows to boot into Safe mode. Is that something I can do without the PC completing POST?

Thanks for your help so far though!

Nope, nothing. I've purchased a motherboard speaker to try and diagnose the problem and there's no beep at all when I turn on. This could be a PSU issue? Dead?

Just a new same sized battery will do?
