hello. so i have this stereo headset with a detachable mic. the mic uses this stiff flexible wire. the wire just holds and doesn't fall/lump.

i would like to get an extension for this so it can be plugged directly into the computer.

i have searched all over and can't seem to get the search correct. surely there must be one of these wires.

can someone help point me to one?

thank you for a response, but sadly that is not the kind of wire i am looking for. i do need the 3.5mm male-to-female as previously stated. but it needs to be like stiff and bendable, like so it can stay standing on its own.

a holder also won't do, because there isn't anywhere close enough to put it.

okay! so i did do that, and is working well enough :) i already had the wire, and also managed to find the clothes hanger. after some trying, it seemed like it would ruin my wire jack and/or port. but then noticed some pole-like-things on my desk... wrapped the hanger around that and now got an extended bendable swiveling mic holder!

thank you! lol

P.S. it would still be really nice to find an actual wire that can do this. maybe one doesn't exist :(

Other than taking the gooseneck off an old lamp or something and threading your own cable through it, I'm not sure what else you might try. I've never known anything to have a really stiff wire as you suggest. You could buy a piece of 10 gauge copper (e.g. ground wire; Home Depot or Lowe's would have it) as long as the wire you want to stiffen; lay it alongside and wrap them end-to-end with electrical tape.
