Currently I am planning to upgrade my main HDD but I cannot decide whether to go with more storage or higher speed.
I am using my PC mainly for gaming and I have 2 options on the local store here in my country
The first one is WD Blue 4TB (5400 rpm) for 2000 EGP

The second one is Seagate BarraCuda 2TB (7200 rpm) for 1200 EGP

Personal experience, the wd blue is fine for games, at least the 1tb i use is... but its a 7200 rpm drive. Have you considered using multiple of the lower size wd blue?

My barracuda drive i actually disabled because it screams like a banshee.

Cant tell you if thats the norm, but its enough to put me off barracuda for life.

BEWARE !!!!! THAT SEAGATE IS ALSO A 5400 RPM DRIVE. You can see the specs on the Seagate web site here : https://www.seagate.com/www-content/datasheets/pdfs/3-5-barracudaDS1900-11-1806GB-en_GB.pdf

The Seagate "Barracuda" series come in both 5400rpm and 7200rpm versions. The 7200rpm versions are almost unobtainable - retailers seem to sell only the 5400rpm version, since it is cheaper.

If you want a 7200rpm Seagate, you mush choose one of the "Barracuda PRO" drives, and not the "Barracuda".

I have had good experiences with both WD and Seagate drives. If you want to see a comparison of reliability, read this : https://www.tomshardware.com/news/backblaze-q417-hdd-reliability-report,36452.html

The BarraCuda model ST2000DM006 the OP posted is a 7200 RPM drive as stated in the data sheet. (3rd sheet)

Actually, I am pretty low on budget. So, I am looking for a cheap solution.
