Does i5 4690 supports Gigabyte GA-B85M-DS3H-A

Am replacing my current motherbaord(Asrock H97M pro4) with "Gigabyte GA-B85M-DS3H-A"

CPU : i5 4690

Many places it is mentioned for B585 and H81 chipsets, we have to update the bios to use 4th gen i5 processor ?

Is it true or I can use it out of the box ?

CPU Support List indicates that CPU supported with the original first BIOS version.

Doesn't detect pen drives & power issues.

Here is the list of things tried to solve pen drive issues

Tried different pen drives in all the ports
Reinstalled OS
Even in bios pen drives won't get detected. If I connect pen drive, system won't allow me to go into bios. Sometimes it goes to bios but pen drive will not show in boot drives. NOTHING WORKS

Regarding power issues, system will turn on only 1 out of 10 times. 9 times only the green light will be there in cpu and fan will run nothing else happen, even mother board logo will not show up. Everyone said SMPS is gone, so I replaced it will good seasonic smps, then for first few months it was working fine, now again same issue. Am fed up with this motherboard so replacing it.
