I was reading Toms Hardware Review for MSI Carbon and I found the Mobo values for power draw and temperature.

Msi draws so much less power.... And the temperatures for MSI is much lower too.
Even though the MSI has worse VRMs according to this VRM tier list

Does anyone have an explanation ?
Is it MSI Thermal Throttling ? I think I've read something about it ;

As a Z370 Auros Gaming 7 user, I can only state that the power draw is a little more on the stats but does that mean the MSI Z370 Carbon Pro has some short comings in terms of overclocking, I doubt it as a friend of mine has one and has achieved a 4.9GHz all core overclock (same as me) on his 8700K with a slightly higher vcore than mine The MSI might just be a tad more efficient but to be honest, I do not no the answer....

Hopefully a MSI user can explain this a bit more..Or one of the forum greats as there are quiet a few of them about..
