CPU Usage high/Intel i7 7700k

While I play video games like AC Odyssey and Black Ops 3, my CPU usage goes all the way to 100%. Is this healthy? While in idle I get around 6% usage. I also feel like I should add my Mobo, Processor,and memory are all new too.

System Specs
Mobo: Asus Tuf Z272 Mark 2
Graphics: GeForce GTX 1080
RAM: 16 gigs
PSU: 1000 WATT

As long as the temperatures are ok this is perfectly fine.

What resolution are you gaming at? If 1080p with a GTX1080 then your FPS if not capped will be very high and this will put a high load on your cpu.

I’m a little surprised BO3 is using 100%, didn’t think it could use 8 threads that efficiently but AC Odyssey does not surprise me if running 1080p.

I actually completely forgot to cap my frames, I am still kinda new at this computer thing. Capping at 60 brought my CPU Usage down to 40 percent. Thank you for your fast reply
