I have ASUS Vivobook S15 S510UQ. I want to upgrade SSD to m.2 and I know that there are two types of m.2 ssd's.
Can my laptop upgrande to that faster (not sata3) m.2 ssd?
Now there is sata3 m.2 128gb ssd. I have read that there still might be posibility to put faster ssd, even if sata3 m.2 is already put by the laptop maker
Possibly.
Some m.2 ports can use either a SATA drive or an NVMe drive.
But by no means ALL of them can.
Unless I found specific documentation that says otherwise, I'd lean towards SATA only in this case.

What is in it now?
What does it say in the user manual?
