Hey, so I’ve had a problem with my HDD being at constant 100% for a while (1TB SAMSUNG) and I’ve had enough it’s very slow so I have just purchased a 240GB SSD.
Now I’m wondering what should I do once I receive it, back up my windows onto the SSD or should I keep it on my HDD. As well as where should I store games and so on?

Solution
Ideally, reinstall Windows and all your software to the new SSD (fresh install), and once you have it running, use it as boot drive with all programs, and store data / games on HDD. Some games might require they be installed on SSD, and if space isn't a premium, it's the best place for them.

I would keep the older HDD off the system until you're satisfied with the SSD as boot. Then ensure that it's set as boot drive in BIOS, you can reconnect older drive and then it's up to you what you do. I would use it for SSD backups, games (or game ISOs if applicable), and data.
