I recently purchased new RAM to upgrade my PC from 16GB to 32 GB as it says on the crucial website that it is able to do so, and when I installed the new sticks my PC will boot up as normal, but when I go to log in, my PC freezes. Switch back to my old sticks and everything works fine. I've reset the CMOS and restored my BIOS to default settings already as it stated on other forum threads. Also my BIOS is updated to the current version.

I have also seen that disabling your XMP profile and then re-enabling it through your BIOS after changing RAM is also a fix in most of these situations, but I don't seem to have that option through the alienware BIOS.

As stated I used Crucial's PC scanner tool to locate THIS kit which it shows is compatible with my PC. Any help is greatly appreaciated.

It is always more of a problem populating all four dimm slots. It places a lot more demand upon the memory controller.

You can try decreasing the frequency. You can play with the timings. You can also try increasing the voltage a bit to see if it stabilizes.

You can also try moving the sticks around in different slots. Perhaps the RAM isn't as matched as it should be.
