So due to the release of the new Turing Nvidia cards the prices of used and new GTX 10-series cards have dropped a little in price therefore I am looking for a Gtx 1070Ti.

I was wondering about the type of card I should buy as the Zotac AMP edition and some other versions of the card that have 2 8-pin connectors as the majority of the 1070Ti cards have only a single 8-pin connector; does the extra connectors increase the power and performance of the card or what as I do not want to buy the card then later regret my decision.

Solution
You could get GTX 1070 Ti for $400 and GTX 1080 for around $450, so I wouldn't expend more since the performance is very little to justify the premium price.
A reliable PSU with a constant 500w should be enough, since a GTX 1070 Ti with a 8-pin might draw around 180w.
What's yous PSU model?
Usually the GPU cards that have 2x 8-pin PCIe power connectors might have a higher clock and could use a little more power than the GPUs that have only one 8-pin power connector.
There isn't that much difference in performance between GPUs with one and two power connectors.
Make sure that your PSU can handle the power requirements of the GPU you get.

Is the performance difference worth extra cost do you think as I would probably need a new PSU too as I currently only have 500W
