Back in 2014 I decided to try building my own PC for some moderate gaming. I dont play any crazy games, with the highest end these days being SkyrimSE with mods at 1080p (might go 1440p in a couple years and I will be playing cyberpunk 2077 which looks system heavy). So I built this ITX system:

Bitfenix Prodigy ITX
Asrock h61mv-itx
8gb 1600mhz ddr3 gskill ram
i5 3570k
GTX 660 ti
750W PSU
240gb Samsung ssd
500gb hdd

Fast forward today and I've made only two upgrades: an MSI Armor GTX 1080 and a 140mm cooler master AiO. Obviously my CPU is a major bottleneck at this point, not to mention I'm still on ddr3 so I plan to upgrade in a month or two. I'm looking for some input but quick disclaimer, I want to get the 7nm Ryzen 3000 series when it releases but I dont know when that day is coming and I really need an upgrade now so I chose the 1500X cause of it's super low price. This my wishlist on newegg:

Asus ROG Strix X470-F
Ryzen 1500X
16gb Trident Z 3600
NZXT H500 ATX Mid Tower

I'm tired if the cramped space of an ITX case and the 1500X is $144 as of posting so it wont hurt too much to replace that when Ryzen 3rd gen comes out.

Any suggested changes? And does anyone know when we should be getting Ryzen 3rd gen?

Solution
I would not get the 1st-gen Ryzen 1500X; get the 2600 instead it's 2nd-gen Ryzen with improved 12nm process and 2 extra cores with 4 extra threads.

It should also be noted that I'm not on much of a budget other than the fact that I refuse to spend $500 + on a "9th gen" i7 when it's barely better than a 1500X for 1080p60 gaming and i want the ram, motherboard and CPU (once its ryzen 3rd gen) to last at least 5 years.
