MSI 1070 ti wont fit phanteks p400s

Please help me guys, this is my first build. Im using phanteks p400s case with gigabyte z370p d3 motherboard and msi gtx 1070 ti gpu. Problem is, mt gpu wont fit, and i cant tell if its mobo or case problem since it looks like gpu slot wont fit pcie x16 even tho they're supposed to be compatible

It just wont fit, like the width of the card wont fit into the expansion bracket and the slot wont line up correctly to the pcie slot on the mobo

Were the motherboard standoffs press-installed in your case? or did you no install them and put the motherboard directly onto the case?

If you can try and take a picture then put it up on imgur and link it here so myself or someone else has a better idea of whats going on.

Standoffs were preinstalled and i just placed mobo in and screwed. Im not home right now, but i will take a picture when i get home and try to send one in about 2-3 hours. Feel free to respond anytime you want tho
