High wattage system on lower VA AVR?

Hello all, I'd like to ask for a possible explanation to what I am experiencing.

So I built a system recently, and during peak operations such as playing video games or writing files to my HDD, I start hearing clicking sounds from my hard drive. So I have a 600W 80+White PSU connected to my 500VA AVR. I suspected that it was the avr causing issues so I disconnected my system from the avr and plug it directly to the wall. So far, haven't noticed the clicking sound. Could anyone confirm my theory that it was the avr causing issues and what could be the explanation for this? Thanks

Are the "clicking" sounds different in some way vs. normal. HDDs have always had a "clicky" sound as it's from normal operation. Some cases are better than others as well as what cooling setup is used to mask some of the sound. I have UPS setups w/ AVR if that is what you are referring to and haven't noticed a difference or thinking of a way that would be related.
