Right, so I was playing GTA V and I thought I would try to put it on msaa 8x, I have a gtx 1070 paired with a Ryzen 7 1800x, it was relatively laggy. I was experimenting with frame scaling and I put the game at 1.500x frame scale with no AA at all. It run the same as my usual way (fxaa, msaa 4x) so should I keep it like this, or put fxaa on? I am running at 1080p. Thanks

It's personal preference. 8x MSAA is going to be hard to drive even with a 1070. If 4x MSAA runs well I would use that alone personally, if you play offline I would also use a good sweetfx profile with SMAA. I'm not a fan of FXAA myself, it blurs or softens the image quite a bit, some people like that I personally don't in most games.
