Ok so I have had my 9900k for a few days now and I thought I would try and overclock it and see what I get. Now I am a bit of a noob when it comes to overclocking and I have literally followed der8auer's Youtube guide on Overclocking a 8700k ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CoUtA7DKXhU) to hit 5ghz with the exception of the core voltage which is set to 1.26v. I have Run a Cinebench score and I am currently running Prime95 as I type this. The screenshot is after 45 minutes of running Prime95.
I am not sure this is the correct way to overclock this chip. I am a bit of a pussy and set my avx to -3. Im pretty chuffed with the results. My set up is as follows
I9 9900k
Asus Maximus Hero XI
64GB Corsiar Ram
Corsair H105i Pro AIO
I have 3 140mm Intake fans and 1 140mm as an Exhaust
