Hey guys im having a bit of a problem with my laptops dedicated graphics card and i cant seem to find a solution anywhere. The laptop is an Asus FX53V with an Nvidia GTX 1050Ti graphics card, as well as an integrated Intel 630. The operating system is Windows 10 version 1803.

About a month ago I installed Duet, which is a program that allows an iPad to be used as a secondary monitor, and i think this is where the problem started. After using Duet for a little while, I noticed some programs would stall on start up then go right to Not Responding. Specifically, any programs that would require the use of a graphics card, especially Nvidia Control Panel and GeForce Experience. After messing around with some settings and finally being able to get into the Nvidia Control Panel, I noticed that my settings for graphics card use was set to always use my 1050Ti. after changing this selection to Auto Assign, all of the troublesome programs started working again, including GeForce Experience.

Once i was able to get into GeForce Experience, I updated my drivers to the latest version but still ended up getting the same problem when changing my settings to force use the 1050Ti. At this point im not sure if my graphics card is dead or not, since not only is Speccy still recognizing the card and displaying temperature information, but device manager is still showing the card under the display adapters tab. Im including a text dump of Speccy i took just before posting this.

What could be the issue here and what can i do to solve this? Also please let me know if theres any more information i could give, including system info. Thanks in advance.

Update guys, and i feel really dumb for this one. This entire time I thought I had uninstalled Duet after the issues started happening, but it turns out the program was still installed. and surprise, once i uninstalled it my issue went away. Sorry for taking up space in the forums :)
