I'm looking for help, I have hooked up my 500gb samsung 860 evo along with my 1tb WDC WD10EZEX-08WN4A0.
For some reason my computer will not recognize the ssd as it's own. I can find my ssd in the bios and device manager but it does not have it's own volume in disk management. When in disk management I have
(C:)
(Disk 1 partition 2)
Recovery
Which are all consider on disk 1
When I go into properties of C: drive I find in hardware it shows both the ssd and hdd. Can someone please help I've tried at least 10 fixes for people with similar problems but non have shared disk C.

The hardware tab is going to show all your disks in the system even if you are only selecting the properties of the C: drive so that is normal.
I like to use DISKPART to look at what is on my machines.
Have you used DISKPART before? If not Google how to "list disk" in DISKPART. It will list your hard drives in order of #. So you should see disk 0, disk 1 or similar. You can tell which is your HDD and SSD because it will tell you the size.
If the SSD is listed here then you may want to "clean" it to wipe it if you don't need data on it.
Then exit out of DISKPART and open Disk Management.
If everything went well you should get a popup that a disk needs to be initialized. Select your options here and let it initialize.
Then you should see it show up in Disk Management and can format and assign a drive letter.

Thanks for the solution, I tried it using the link above but it still only showed my one hdd disk. I'm not sure why this wouldn't work either because this ssd is brand new and this is my first time trying to use it
