alienware discrete graphics

I have a aw 17 r4 with 1060 Nvidia. For some reason, I'm not able to switch the Alienware discrete graphics and I'm not able to see the graphics card in bios too. I updated my bios several times but the problem still exists. now my system is running on HD630.

How can I switch it back to Nvidia? should I reinstall windows?

I would do the following:
1- Go to Device Manager and Check if the 1060 is recognized there.
1Bis - In case the 1060 is not there click the Scan for New devices buttom in the Device manager panel.
2- Check if the Device is enabled
3- DDU (Display Driver Uninstaller) all your previous Drivers and Download Gforce Experience.
4- Reboot
5- Install Gforce Experience and then Log-in and let it Scan for new drivers
6- Install Drivers and Reboot.

That should fix it.
