Hi,
I would like to know whether intel optane chipsets support older intel motherboards ie.DH61BF?does intel optane chipsets have extenders to fit in old intel motherboards ie.DH61BF?
and also please tell whether overclocking this DH61BF will be sound or not because it had once been repaired?

HOW CAN I FIT IN INTEL OPTANE CHIP SET IN DH61BF INTEL MOTHERBOARD?

I don't think so. I'm having trouble determining if your motherboard has a UEFI style BIOS. Which is the first step to using NVMe storage.

Either way, without a 7th gen or higher chipset you would be limited to only the PCIe NMVe devices, and NVMe requires somewhat newer hardware. There are workarounds for getting NMVe drives to work on older hardware, but they typically can't be used as boot drives.

Nothing wrong with a SATA SSD, for 90% of purposes they are just fine.

I understood that INTEL had made Optane for latest intel cpus and motherboards.

But it would be great that both Intel and Micron provide a Universal Optane Chipsets boards to fit in old motherboards ie.DH61BF etc. Or Rather provide an extender for remaining slots or use it in ram slots.

Sort of correct. That is mostly referring to Optane Acceleration, which you add to a hard drive as cache. Those are all M.2 drives, which you don't have the port for.
Optane DIMMs are for Enterprise, adding 'slow' RAM for handling large datasets at much less cost than buying RAM.
PCIe Optane drives are basically just NVMe drives that use Optane memory as storage.

Key thing is they all need NVMe protocol. Which out of the box H61 just doesn't have. Drives weren't really fast enough yet to need something beyond SATA. I think SSDs at the time that board was released cost several hundred to a thousand dollars or more. I think I picked up my first SSD in 2012 or something. $400 for 512GB.

Even 4th generation hardware didn't support NVMe, which is what I had next. Not until Skylake (6th gen) did NVMe become standard and drive speeds exceeded SATA III speeds.

Go old enough, and it doesn't even have a port for it, bootable or not.
Yes, you could maybe put an NVMe drive (not an Optane cache module) in an adapter in a PCIe slot.

But gain pretty much zero benefit.

In DH61BF & D945GCCR motherboards to be fitted in slot PCI Express 2.0 x1 bus add-in card connector.
can you select among these adapters which one will be suitable for Intel Optane 16gb PCI M.2 & 32gb PCI M.2 memory module -:

What are you hoping to gain by adding optane drives with those adapters? You can't use them as a caching drive (which is their intended purpose), you can't install your OS on them. They'd be limited to 1/8 their full bandwidth (PCIe 2.0 x1 vs PCIe 3.0 x4).

Yes, I was more or less referring to the boot issues like in my first post. Though I am not 100% sure you can use a straight PCIe optane drive either. That information has been pretty hard to come by, since why would you even want it if not for a boot device.

No point adapting Optane drives to PCIe 1x slots, very cost ineffective. (Also why they are more or less pointless and pretty much only OEMs bother with them)

Just buy a PCIe SSD if you want that, or, for far less, a SATA SSD.

Is there an expert who can alter the old bios.Patch up old bios with new configuration for adding optane system successfully.

Why i want optane in my pc is because hibernating takes lot of time and optane with nand flash can do it easily in less time.

Further Optane modules can increase ram cache and data transfer cache /speed

Thats why i want updates on bios of DH61BF & D945GCCR but intel has closed the bios updates AS OPTANE is unsupported.
