Hi, im planning to upgrade my gpu to gtx 680. I already know this will work with my ancient motherboard but I concern about power supply. I read a lot of threads about psu for this graphics card but don't know much about rails and voltages. Question is:

Will OCZ ModXstream pro 500w

Solution
I would get a new PSU. The PSU you have is not very good and while a quality 500 watt PSU would probably be fine, yours is not a quality PSU. Essentially, the 12 volt rail is what you need to look at and your PSU can only hold 432 watts on the 12 volt rail. That wont be enough to handle peak power outputs from your system. So it claims to be a 500 watt PSU, but that is somewhat deceptive marketing.

I would look for a quality 550 watt PSU from EVGA, Corsair, or Seasonic.
