Hi all. First off i just want to say any usefull help you can give me would be great and also my PC was built for me so i may not have the cables needed.
I am looking into buying the MSI RTX 2070 Gaming Z GPU which is replacing my Palit GTX 970.
Now my PSU is a Corsair RM 850, with what looks like an 8 pin into the PSU and split 6 + 6 into the 970"i could be wrong as i have not taken the cables out yet, only visual inspection". The RTX 2070 however specifies 8-pin x 1, 6-pin x 1 into the card.
So my question is simple i guess. Do i need a new power cable and if so which one specifically?
Once again any usefull help you can give would be greatly appreciated. If yo need any more information just ask. Thank you in advance.
