Should I get a 144hz gaming monitor or upgrade to the 240hz monitor. I want to get as much fps even if I don't use epic graphics. Should I get the 27 inch MSI 27 inch 144hz gaming monitor or 240hz Alienware 25 inch gaming monitor. If I run medium graphics will i be getting more than 140hz with those specs because I want to make sure I get a monitor over 144hz if the pc can get over 144hz??

If your budget supports it, buy the 240hz monitor. If we are being honest, there isn't too much of a way to distinguish 144hz from 240hz. If you want a bigger monitor and want to save some money, then buy the MSI.

Why... for a start there’s not as much difference jumping from 144 to 240 as there is 60-144. Secondly it’s FORTNITE. It doesn’t need stupidly high frame rates. I get CSGO and Overwatch but it’s a crappy 3rd person battle Royale game that’ll fizzle out when something else gets 5 year olds excited.

I personally would take a 144 at a higher resolution 240 at a lower one. In fortnite it won't matter, but every AAA game you play will look way way better.

Don't worry too much about it until you are actually really good at the game first. I see it all the time where people are just ok or above average and spend all this money because they think it's going to make them better. Good players are going to win even if they are playing at 60fps vs everyone else at 240. It's more about skill than frame rate. Once you are better than basically everyone then you will want these minor advantages. Are you already at this point?
