Hello all. I have a very serious problem. I recently moved in with my girlfriend in our own home. We finally got internet at our home so I had my parents haul my $5k build to the new house. My problem is it wont stay connected to our wi-fi for more than a few seconds at a time but all our other devices (phones, ps4, alienware laptop) work just fine. Here's what my set up is.

ISP: cable america
Modem: Arris dg680
Network adapter: Broadcom 802.11ac

I've updated the driver and tried changing the properties of the adapter and done nearly everything I can to no avail. It's only worked a full 6 hours 1 day this past week and I played battlegrounds with no problem. After that day it randomly works for a few seconds and disconnects again.

On another note I cant even connect to the router via the IP address on the modem because the default password and username is apparently incorrect.

Any help is greatly appreciated. I feel like I just have a 5,000 dollar brick in my room now.

can you see and connect to any other local wifi?? if you have a pci wifi card power down the pc and unplug it from the wall to drain the mb for safty. then reseat the wifi card. on your router hold the hard reset down and clear it back to default settings. before you do that flip it over check that your connecting to the right ssid and using the right password.
