As above. External HDD works fine when plugged in directly to a USB 3.0 port on the back of the PC.
However, when I plug it into a any one of the four ports on the USB powered hub, it is very tempromental. Sometimes the blue light doesn't even come on. Sometimes it flashes, but nothing flashes up. Sometimes it works absolutely fine, and then 2 minutes later, disconnects.
Could this be a motherboard power issue? I've just upgraded, and it worked fine on the previous build/motherboard. Current motherboard is a Asus Prime Z370-A.
Also the external hard drive works fine on another computer.
