Hey guys, i need some help choosing my another Ram stick (i already have 2x sticks of 4gb dual channel DDR4 2133 G.Skill Ripjaws V)

The options are G.SKILL Aegis 8GB CL15 or HyperX Fury 8GB CL14. (HyperX is 20€ more)
I have 2x sticks from G.Skill but i trust HyperX more as a brand. Also, will i have problems using 2x of 4gb in a1 and b1 in dual channel and one of 8gb single channel in the a2 slot? The sticks need to be from the same brand or have the same cl?

Solution
Mixing RAM is problematic. There are never any guarantees when using modules that did not come together in a matched set, EVEN when they are identical part numbers, much less when they are totally different modules. I would still with the same part numbers or kit number as the memory you have already.

And just to clarify for you, G.Skill is to most enthusiasts, a far more trusted brand for high quality, high performance memory than Kingston (HyperX) by a long shot. G.Skill Ripjaws and Trident X sticks are among the best you can buy at any price. I would stick with the G.Skill sticks and try to find identical part numbers. That is still not a guarantee they will play nice together, but it certainly increases the chances by a lot.

Also keep in mind that once you go past two sticks of memory, there are no guarantees that they will run at the advertised speed with at least a fair amount of fiddling with the voltage and timings. Since your sticks are only 2133mhz anyhow, that won't be an issue BUT you still might need to increase the voltage once you move past two sticks, to three or four sticks, in order to get them to be stable and even POST.

Honestly, you'd be a lot better off just buying a 2 x8GB memory kit and selling off your old sticks. It would be easier on your memory controller and it would eliminate problems with compatibility.
