Which one is the best

1. Ryzen 5 1600

2. Ryzen 5 2400g

I will be using 1060 with this cpu but I will have to wait for few months or maybe a year but no worries....till then I’ll use GT 210

1600 + 1060 will beat 2400g immensely in gaming.

But waiting a year just to get 1060? And play on GT210 until then? No way, that will be horrible. Better get 2400g in that case. Spare yourself the pain ;) BTW, 2400g is a good CPU to be paired with 1060 as well - yes, it has fewer cores than ryzen 5 1600, but it is still a very decent CPU.

I have no problem waiting for a year.... 2400 is missing 2 cores will it be that bad ? ... in future I’ll straightforward with u I just want to game and game and game and movies and google that’s it that’s why I’m confused cause I’m already using 1060 in future that means pay is useless

well 2400 is very solid CPU. Unless you run a lot of tasks at once, you won't see any difference.
it might be 20 FPS down (with 1060 from 100 to 80) with newest games.

Well, we can only guess. My guess would be that some games will continue using only 2 or 4 threads, while most advanced AAA titles will probably go as far as 8 as a standard, if not even higher. In fact, some games are capable of using more than 8 threads even today.

BTW, 2400G has 4 physical cores but they have hyperthreading, meaning that it supports running 8 threads simultaneously. You should be fine for at least a year or two with it, and later on you can always upgrade the CPU, since AM4 platform will still be supported.
