Hi,
We recently had the HDD in our surveillance system fail it is is not able to be detected at all by any OS and makes noise that is obviously abnormal when plugged in and powered on.
I'm hoping maybe replacing the PCB will at least make it detectable so that I may image the drive and try some recovery options for the data.
This is new territory for me and I want to be sure I order the correct replacement PCB. Etched on the board is "2060-771959-000 REV A"
Does the REV need to be the same because I have found a and 2060-771959-000 REV P2 listing on eBay that is significantly less money so I was wondering if they will serve the same purpose if there is reason for the price difference besides just the vendor setting the price.
One of the one reasons I question this is because I read this post here http://www.tomshardware.com/answers/id-3405824/2060-771945-001-rev-rev-pcb-board.html
which says "you need only worry about matching the 771945"
The 2 listings are:
https://www.ebay.com/itm/HDD-PCB-for-Western-Digital-Logic-Board-Board-Number-2060-771959-000-REV-P2/173544902265
https://www.ebay.com/itm/WD5000LPVX-75V0TT0-2060-771959-000-REV-A-WD-PCB-ONLY/272644490903
The drive is a WD 2.5" 5000LPCX it is the exact one listed here:

Thanks for any help in advance.
